Best Ever Passenger Traffic In Airport History

Madison, WI – The Dane County Regional Airport marked its best single month traffic numbers in history with passenger traffic surging 13.0 percent for the month compared to 2015. In October, 91,151 passengers flew out of Madison.  The airport’s second best month ever was in 2014 with 80,559 passengers. 


“Dane County Regional Airport continues to be a high-quality, convenient experience in the county and throughout our region,” said Dane County Executive Joe Parisi.  “These record breaking numbers prove that more people are choosing to travel with us.  That means great things for our airport, its guests, and our local economy.”


In addition, year-to-date traffic at DCRA is up 9.9 percent in comparison to 2015 for the same period. Airport gift shops, restaurants, and parking operations also reported significant increases in October.


“Madison customers can enjoy upgraded service to twelve major airline hubs,” said Bradley Livingston, AAE, Airport Director. “Flights to these key hubs mean convenient one-stop service to worldwide destinations for south central Wisconsin.”
