The Dane County Sheriff’s Office is encouraging citizens in the town of Windsor to attend a Community Notification Meeting on the release of Steven Lamm.
A core team evaluates and makes decisions on the level of notification to the community for the release of sex offenders under Wisconsin Statutes 301.45 and 301.46. The Core Team will be holding a Community Notification Meeting on January 26that 6:30 pm. The meeting will be held at the Windsor Town Hall, located at 4084 Mueller Road. The Core Team will offer information about the Community Notification Law and the release of Steven Lamm. Lamm has a conviction in 1990 for two counts of 1stDegree Sexual Assault of a Child in Wisconsin, and a conviction in 1992 for two counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct in Minnesota. His photo will be provided at the meeting, as well as more detailed information on his offenses.
Authorities will also provide citizens with information about protective behaviors and personal safety. Steven Lamm is not wanted by authorities at this time, and this information is not intended to increase fear, but rather inform the public. Citizen abuse of this information to threaten, intimidate, or harass registered sex offenders will not be tolerated.
