Dane County Board Chair Patrick Miles Reacts to Governor Evers’ Announcement That He Will Not Seek Reelection

DANE COUNTY, Wis. — Following Governor Evers’ announcement that he will not seek a third term as Governor of the State of Wisconsin, Dane County Board Chair Patrick Miles released the following statement:
“I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Tony Evers for his decades of public service to the State of Wisconsin, both as an educator and elected official. Throughout his tenure as Governor, Evers has led with dignity, perseverance, and integrity – values that resonate strongly in Dane County.
“Despite facing continuous uphill battles in the State Legislature, Evers has always worked to find solutions that improve the lives of all Wisconsinites. The State of Wisconsin is strong and continues to progress thanks to Evers’ steadfast and thoughtful leadership. I wish Governor Evers and his wife, Kathy, all the best as they embark on this next chapter of their lives.”
