Dementia Care Techniques and Virtual Dementia Tour

:  The program covers dementia education as well as practical communication skills. It will provide participants with a better understanding of the common experiences held by People Living With Dementia (PLWD), to better shape our approaches and interventions.

Caregivers will also be given the opportunity to experience the Virtual Dementia Tour alongside this program. The Virtual Dementia Tour is a powerful and life changing sensory simulation that mimics what it feels like to have dementia.

This program is co-facilitated by Dementia Care Specialists Ellen Taylor and Kayla Olson from the Aging and Disability Resource Center of Dane County.

What to know/bring: This program will be 3 hours in duration. Please note interest in participating in the optional Virtual Dementia Tour at registration.
