Youth Service Day at McCarthy Youth & Conservation County Park

Join the Friends of McCarthy for some community service and fun during their annual Youth Service Day! Youth Service Day is a National Volunteer Day when students, service groups, and families volunteer to do service projects throughout their communities to help make a difference.  

This event will take place at McCarthy Youth and Conservation County Park and go from 9:00 am - Noon. 

Activities will include:

• spreading mulch
• spreading prairie seeds
• planting native plants
• planting trees
• pollinator garden preservation
• and more!

These volunteer opportunities are specifically to engage youth in volunteerism, but volunteers are welcome no matter the age! Youth (under age 18) must attend with a chaperone.

Lunch: Lunch is generously provided by the Friends of McCarthy to those who register to help at the event.
